About Us

Born out of deep respect and 30 years of professional experience in the action sports industry, the idea for the Charlottesville Skate Shop bloomed one evening while sitting around our dinner table. We are locally owned by skateboarders, parents, and Charlottesville community members, and now with the advent of the 33,000 square foot Charlottesville Skatepark, our hope is to foster a platform of growth and expansion for the next generation of Charlottesville skaters.

We know what it means to fall but, we also know what it means to get back up and try again. We hope to spread our knowledge and love of skateboarding — its lessons of humility, determination, and resilience — within the Charlottesville community and beyond. Coming to you live and direct from the underground, we see you Cville.
